<br />in the event that the applicant fails to <br />comply with restrictions originally <br />placed on the exemption. <br /> <br />(e) No exemption granted pursuant to any <br />paragtaph of this section shall be construed, <br />nor is it intended by the City of Lakewood as <br />a guaranty or warranty of any kind, whether ex- <br />press or implied, to any person, including <br />without limitation the general pUblic, persons <br />residihg or passing near the applicant's <br />premises, ot the applicant, either in general <br />or individually, as to the danger, or lack <br />thereof, or degree of risk to health or safety <br />ot any animal, specifically or generally, or <br />any premises where any animal is maintained or <br />kept pursuant to such excemption. <br />(f) Whoever violates any of the provisions <br />of this section is guilty of a minor misdemea- <br />nor. A separate offense shall be ðs deemed <br />committed for each day during or on which a <br />violation occurs or continues. <br /> <br />505.19 RABIES VACCINATION OF DOGS AND CATS <br />REQUIRED. <br /> <br />Any person owning any dog or cat over ohe <br />hundred twenty (120) d~ys of age shall be <br />required to have such anirnðl currently immu- <br />nized against rabies. For the purpose of this <br />Chapter "Currently immunized" or vaccinated <br />against rabies shall mean that such dog has <br />been innoculated against rabies by a licensed <br />veterinarian wi thin the past thirty-six (36) <br />months and such cat has been inoculðted <br />against rabies by a licensed veterinarian <br />wi thin the past twelve (12) months. However, <br />dogs under six (6) months of age which were <br />inoculated must recèive a second rabies inocu- <br />lation within twelve (12) months. This provi- <br />sion shall not apply to any catterie breeder <br />duly licensèd under the provisions of this <br />Chapter. <br /> <br />505.20 ANIMAL BITES¡ REPORTS AND QUARANTINE. <br /> <br />(a) Whenever any person is bitten by a dog <br />or other animal, report of such bite shall be <br />made to a police officer or the Department of <br />Health within twenty-four hours. The dog or <br />other animal inflicting a bite shall immedi- <br />ately be examined by a qualified veterinarian <br />and resul ts of such examination shall be re'" <br />ported to the Department of Health within <br />twenty-four hours. At the direction of the <br />Department of Health, the dog or other animal <br />shall ei ther be confined by its owner or har- <br />borer to his premises away from the public at <br />large, or be placed under supervision of a <br />veterinarian at the owner's or harborer's <br />expense. The isolation or observation period <br />shall not be less than ten days from the date <br />the person was bitten at which time report of <br />the condition of the animal shall be made to <br />the Department of Health. <br /> <br />No person shðll fail to comply with the re- <br /> <br />13 <br />
