quirements of this section or with any order of the Department of Health made pursuant thereto, nor fail to immediately report to the Department of Health any symptom or behavior sùggestive of rabies:. (b) Any owner of any dog known to have, or suspected of havin9' rabies or having been subjected to rabies, shall immediately notify a police officer or the Department of Health of such fact, and immediately surrender such dog to any health officer or police officer upon demand of such officer. It shall be unlawful for any owner knowing or suspec"ting that a dog has rabies, to allow such dog to be taken off his premises without the permission of a health officer or police officer. Any health officer or police officer upon ascer- taining a dog is rabid shall immediately re- move the dog to the pound or summarily destroy it. (c) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor mindemeanor. 505.21 HUNTING PROHIBITED. (a) the 'hunting of animals or fowl within the Municipality is prohibited. No person shall hunt, kill or attempt to kill any animal or fowl by the use of firearms or any other means. (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. 505.22 COLORING RABBITS OR BABY POULTRY; SALE OR DISPLAY OF POULTRY. (a) No person shall dye or otherwise color any rabbit or baby poultry, including, but not limited to, chicks and ducklings~ No person shall sell, offer for sale, expose for sale, raffle or give away any rabbit or baby poul- try which has been dyed or otherwise colored. No paul tOry younger than four weeks of age may be sold, given away or otherwise distributed to any person in lots of less than six. Stores, shops, vendors and others offering young poultry for sale or other distribution shall provide and operate brooders or other heating devices that may be necessary to main- tain poultry in good health, and shall keep adequate food and water available to the poul~ try at all times. (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Section 2. That existing Chapter 505 of the General Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, relating to animals and fowls is hereby repealed. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its ~ommittees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings 14
