<br />quirements of this section or with any order <br />of the Department of Health made pursuant <br />thereto, nor fail to immediately report to the <br />Department of Health any symptom or behavior <br />sùggestive of rabies:. <br /> <br />(b) Any owner of any dog known to have, or <br />suspected of havin9' rabies or having been <br />subjected to rabies, shall immediately notify <br />a police officer or the Department of Health <br />of such fact, and immediately surrender such <br />dog to any health officer or police officer <br />upon demand of such officer. It shall be <br />unlawful for any owner knowing or suspec"ting <br />that a dog has rabies, to allow such dog to be <br />taken off his premises without the permission <br />of a health officer or police officer. Any <br />health officer or police officer upon ascer- <br />taining a dog is rabid shall immediately re- <br />move the dog to the pound or summarily destroy <br />it. <br />(c) Whoever violates this section is guilty <br />of a minor mindemeanor. <br /> <br />505.21 HUNTING PROHIBITED. <br /> <br />(a) the 'hunting of animals or fowl within <br />the Municipality is prohibited. No person <br />shall hunt, kill or attempt to kill any animal <br />or fowl by the use of firearms or any other <br />means. <br /> <br />(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty <br />of a minor misdemeanor. <br /> <br />505.22 COLORING RABBITS OR BABY POULTRY; SALE <br />OR DISPLAY OF POULTRY. <br /> <br />(a) No person shall dye or otherwise color <br />any rabbit or baby poultry, including, but not <br />limited to, chicks and ducklings~ No person <br />shall sell, offer for sale, expose for sale, <br />raffle or give away any rabbit or baby poul- <br />try which has been dyed or otherwise colored. <br />No paul tOry younger than four weeks of age may <br />be sold, given away or otherwise distributed <br />to any person in lots of less than six. <br />Stores, shops, vendors and others offering <br />young poultry for sale or other distribution <br />shall provide and operate brooders or other <br />heating devices that may be necessary to main- <br />tain poultry in good health, and shall keep <br />adequate food and water available to the poul~ <br />try at all times. <br /> <br />(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty <br />of a minor misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Section 2. That existing Chapter 505 of the General <br />Offenses Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, <br />relating to animals and fowls is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of <br />this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />~ommittees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings <br /> <br />14 <br />
