COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, OHIO <br /> <br />SERVICE CONTRACT <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into as of this day of 1985, <br />by and between the Board of County Commissioners, County of Cuyahoga, Ohio <br /> <br />(hereinafter called the "COUNTY") and the City of Lakewood, Ohio (hereinafter <br />called the "CONTRACTOR"). <br /> <br />WITNESSET~ ~{AT: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CONTRACTOR recognizes its responsibilities under the <br /> <br />laws of the State of Ohio and of the United States of America, to provide legal <br />counsel to indigent persons charged wit]h serious offenses and loss of liberty <br />offenses in its Municipal Court, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the CONTRACTOR in futherance of the execution of its legal <br />responsibilites, desires that the legal services be delivered to the CON- <br />TRACTOR's indigent citizens and others ,~o situated; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties a¢~ree as follows. <br /> ' <br /> I. SCOPE OF SERVICE <br /> <br /> The CONTRACTOR will provide legal counsel to indigent persons charged <br />with felonies during the term of this Agreement. <br /> <br /> II. COMPENSATION AND MET~OD OF PAYMENT <br /> <br /> The COUNTY shall reimburse the CONTRACTOR a sum not-to-exceed $4,000 <br /> <br />which shall constitute full and complete payment for all the CONTRACTOR's <br />services. The said sum shall be reimbursed in equal quarterly payments. <br /> <br />III. ASSIGNED COUNSEL FEE SCW~.~ULE <br /> <br /> Counsel appointed for representation in Municipal Court shall be paid <br />according to the schedule promulgated by the COUNTY under Section 120.33 of the' <br />Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br />IV. TIME OF PERFORMANCE <br /> <br /> The duration of this Agreement shall be for one (1) year commencing <br />on January 1, 1985, and shall terminate on December 31, 1985. <br /> <br />1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
