That the b~llot sub~itting the question of the <br />adoption of the aforesaid amendment shall, read as follows, or as other- <br />vise directed by the election authorities: <br /> <br />PROPOSED Clt~TERANENDHENT <br /> <br />CITY OF ~D, OHIO <br /> <br />A majority affirmative vote ts necessary for passage. <br /> <br />Shall an amendment to Article XIII, of the ~h~ended <br />Charter of the City of Lakewood be adopted to <br />require, on or before July 1, 1986 and each July 1st <br />of each second year thereafter, the Civil Service <br />Commission to make ~,ritten recom~endations, of an <br />advisory nature, to the Council concerning the <br />salary of the Mayor, members of Council, President <br />of Council and Vice President of Council? <br /> <br /> Section i. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause the full text of said proposed Charter mendment to be <br />published pursuant to Section 107.10 of the Ad~inistrative Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, Ohio and Section 731.211, <br />Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 5. That the Clerk of this Council be and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />ordinance to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio; and that <br />the City's Clerk of Council, the Mayor and the Director of Law are <br />hereby authorized and directed to take such other actions as may be <br />necessary to submit the aforesaid amendment to the electors of the City <br />at the general and regular ~unicipal election to be held on November 3, <br />1985. <br /> <br /> Section 6. That the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County, <br />Ohio is hereby requested and authorized to cause appropriate notice of <br />such election to be duly given in accordance with law and to other~tse <br />provide for such election in the manner provided by the City's Amended <br />Charter and the general laws of the State of Ohio. <br /> <br /> Section 7. That there is hereby appropriated from the general <br />fund of the City an a~ount sufficient to pay the cost of carrying out <br />the authorizations and directions of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> Section 8. That it is found and dete~ined that all fornml <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />ordinance were passed in an open maeting of this Council, and that all <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted <br />in such formal action, were in~eetings open to the public, in compliance <br />with all legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
