Placed on First Reading: Oct. 6, 1986 <br />Placed on Second Reading: Oct. 20, 1986 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 101-86 <br /> <br />By: Brown, ChinnOck, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE granting to Cox Cable Cleveland Area, Inc., an <br />Ohio corporation, the non-exclusive right to erect, maintain and <br />operate in, under, above, alon~, across and upon the streets, <br />lanes, avenues, sidewalks, alleys, highways and other public <br />places of the City of Lakewood, Ohio, for the purpose of <br />transmission and distribution of television signals to enable the <br />sale of its service to the inhabitants of the City and other <br />purpose, for a period of fifteen (15) years and regulating the <br />same. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a proposal has been received from Cox Cable <br />Cleveland Area, Inc., an Ohio Corporation, for a renewal of a <br />non-exclusive franchise which would permit the company to use <br />city streets and rights of way to provide cable television <br />service to the residents of the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after public hearings, the City has determined that <br />it is in the best interest of the City and its residents to renew <br />the franchise previously granted to the Company, and <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
