e) Participating in networking home care providers to <br /> answer child care needs of the Lakewood community; <br /> f) Assisting the Lakewood Child Care Services <br /> Advisory Board in fund raising and writing grant <br /> applications and proposals in an effort to obtain <br /> financial assistance in whatever form for <br /> subsidizing child care in the Lakewood community; <br /> g) interviewing potential scholarship families and <br /> qualifying children f6r scholarship day care <br /> assistance or other financial assistance in State <br /> certified day care facilities; <br /> h) Coordinating agencies and resources in the <br /> Lakewood community to enhance the quality of child <br /> care for our young children; <br /> i) Participate in local, State and national <br /> organizations that. promote quality care for our <br /> children; <br /> j) Initiating new programs and curriculum for young <br /> children under the direction of the Advisory <br /> Board and the Lakewood Board of Education; and <br /> k) performing such other duties as are determined by <br /> the Superintendent of Schools to meet the intent <br /> of this ordinance and the ordinance creating the <br /> Lakewood Child Care Services Advisory Board, all <br /> in consideration of the funds paid to the Board by <br /> the City. <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br /> elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br /> upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take <br /> effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
