Mr. Pearce: 1523, stated that his apron is already lower than the street <br />level and there are no curbs in his whole .area. <br /> <br />Mr. Wight: 1496, presented a petition signed by 56 people asking that <br />no work be done at this time. Believes that the road surface treatment <br />is doing just fine. Proposed that cars parked on the street be ichar§ed <br />to offset the cost of resurfacing. <br /> <br />Holly Read: 1378, commented that when she had gone to the City for <br />help in getting an emergency vehicle in and out of her driveway for <br />an ill relative, that the City had cooperated completely and she was <br />very thankful. She asked if the street could be widened, new aprons <br />and sidewalks put in to eliminate the problems associated with such <br />a narrow street. <br /> <br />Mr. Gaking; 1386~ spoke also of the narrow street width and the problems <br />he has with his apron. He also stated that many cars, realizing at <br />his house that it is a dead end street, turn in his apron and get hung <br />up on the apron. Mr. Gaking also questioned the legality of the Miracle <br />Auto Body Commercial property on the residential street. <br /> <br />Mr. H. Gallagher told Mr. Gaking, that he would check on his apron <br />and advise him of a method of alleviating the problem. <br /> <br />Mr. Webb: 1330, objected to resurfacing, because it looks much better <br />than many other streets in the City. He claimed that his apron was <br />damaged by snow plows. <br /> <br />Mr. Ziegenruecker stated that his apron would be checked and possibly <br />repaired if it is indeed snow plow damage. <br /> <br />Vote was taken. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Uchaker asked for reconsideration of the Granger assessment. <br /> <br />The Mayor explained that reductions were made according to the facts <br />presented to the Board.
