City, permit fees, effective dates, and <br />renewal fees, by filing said Schedule with the <br />Clerk of Council. If Council fails to reject said <br />Schedule within sixty (60) days, said Schedule <br />shall become effective. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That Section 355.03 of the Traffic Code <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now <br />reading as follows: <br /> <br />355.03 Installation of Meters <br /> <br />In the parking meter zones parking meters shall be <br />installed upon the curb or sidewalk immediately <br />adjacent to the parking spaces provided in Section <br />355.02, such installation to be placed not more <br />than two feet from the curb nor more than four feet <br />from the front line of the parking space as <br />indicated, and the Director of Public Safety shall <br />be responsible for the regulation, control, <br />operation, maintenance and use of such parking <br />meters. Each device shall be so set as to display <br />a signal showing legal parking upon the deposit of <br />the appropriate coin or coins, lawful money of the <br />United States, for the period of time prescribed by <br />this chapter. Each device shall be so arranged <br />that upon the expiration of the lawful time limit <br />it will indicate by a proper visible signal that <br />the lawful parking period has expired. At such <br />time the right of such vehicle to occupy such space <br />shall 'cease and the operator, owner, possessor or <br />manager thereof shall be subject to the penalties <br />herein after provided. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read: <br /> <br />355.03 Parking meter installation; regulation. <br /> <br />(a) In the parking meter zones, parking meters <br />shall be installed upon the curb or sidewalk <br />immediately adjacent to the parking spaces provided <br />in Section 355.02, such installation to be placed <br />not more than two feet from the curb not more than <br />four feet from the front line of the parking space <br />as indicated. <br /> <br />(b) The Director of Public Safety shall be <br />responsible for the regulation, control, <br />maintenance, and use of such parking meters. The <br />Director shall, from time to time, establish a <br />Municipal Parking Schedule designating the location <br />of parking meters and the fee per unit of time to <br />be paid by the operator of any vehicle occupying a <br />designated parking space controlled by a parking <br />meter. Said Schedule shall be filed with the Clerk <br />of Council. If Council fails to reject said <br />SchedUle within sixty (60) days., said Schedule <br />shall become effective. <br /> <br />(c) Each device shall be so set as to display a <br />signal showing legal parking upon the deposit of <br />the.appropriate fee as established in the <br />Municipal Parking Schedule. Each device shall be <br />so arranged that upon the expiration of the lawful <br />time limit it will indicate by a proper visible <br />signal that the lawful parking period has expired. <br />At such time the right of such vehicle to occupy <br />such space shall cease and the operator, owner, <br />possessor or manager thereof shall be subject to <br />the penalties herein after provided. <br /> <br /> <br />
