This Sect/on does not <br />apply to Traffic Signal Technicians - Department of Public WOrks, whose overtime <br />compensation is covered pursuant to Section 5 and Section 6 herein, or employees <br />who are paid overtime pursuant to a collective bargaining agreement. <br /> <br /> Section 5. Trsflqc Signal Technicians shall receive time and one-half of <br />their regular pay for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day and forty <br />(40) hours per week. Traffic Signal Technlci~,~-~ shall receive t~me and one-half for <br />all hours worked on Satmrday, Sunday or any holiday as defined in Section 149.10. <br /> <br /> Section 6. Traffic Signal Technicians - Depar~ent of Public Works, who <br />work more than four (4) hours as par~ of a regular shift assignment between the <br />hours of 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. shall receive a shift premium of twenty five cents <br />($.25) per hour for all hours worked during the second shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 <br />midnight) and thirty cents ($.30) per hour for all hours worked during the third <br />shift (12:01 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.). <br /> <br /> Section 7. A qualified physician who is appointed to serve part-t/me as the <br />City's Health Commi.~aioner shall be entitled to receive wages of $14,775 per year. <br /> <br /> Section 8. Employee members, while serving upon a jury in any court, <br />shall be paid at his regular salary rate for each of his workdays during the period of <br />~.me so served. Thne so served shall be deemed active and continuous service for <br />all purposes. In addition to the compensation provided for herein, any jury fees <br />paid to the employee/juror for service in any court, except Lakewood Municipal <br />Court, shall be retained by the employee to compensate for the expenses of jury <br />service. <br /> <br /> Section 9. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concer~ing and relating to the passage of thi~ Ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of <br />its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public, in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 10. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />~rma~ive vote of two-~.hi~ds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; <br />otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by <br />law; and Ordinance 3-93, adopted March 15, 1993, and all other ordinances or parts <br />of ordinances ii,con-stent herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed at <br /> <br />such time. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
