ARTICLE VIII <br /> <br />MECHANICS' AND OTHER LIENS <br /> <br /> · Section 8.1. Maintenance of Ownership and No Other Liens. Except as permitted <br />by this Lease, the Lessee covenants and agrees that it will not sell or otherwise dispose of, all <br />or any part of the Leased Premises, or create a lien against the Lessee's or City's interest therein <br />or directly or indirectly create or suffer to be created or to remain any mortgage, lien, <br />encumbrance or charge upon, pledge of, security interest in or conditional sale or other title <br />retention agreement with respect to the Leased Premises, or the interest of the City or of either <br />Trustee in, the Special Funds or the Net Hospital Receipts, Basic Rent, Additional Payments, <br />or any part thereof, other than Permitted Encumbrances. <br /> <br /> Section 8.2. Mechanics' Liens. Lessee covenants and agrees that it will perform <br />the obligations of the City under Section 5.12 of the Senior Indenture as if the word "Issuer" <br />used therein referred to the Lessee. <br /> <br />(End of Article VIII) <br /> <br />- 26 - <br /> <br /> <br />
