1793,02 13CENgI'i RF'.Q~LIIRI <br /> <br />(^) <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful tbr any person to engage in the business of operating a <br />tattoo establishment without first obtaining a license to engage in such <br />business in accordance ~vith the provisions hereo[~ <br /> <br />[3) <br /> <br />An application fi)r a license shall be accompanied bva fee in the amount <br />Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00). Any change of o~w~ership shall require <br />new application and license~ with payment of fees theretbr. <br /> <br />(C) <br /> <br />(D) <br /> <br />The license ~be ~br engaging in the business of operating a tattoo <br />establishment within the Health District shall be Two Hundred Dollars <br />($200.00) per year. Said license shall expire on December 3 [st of each <br />calendar year, and the fee for licensing shall not be prorated. <br /> <br />A tattoo establishment will not be considered a Type t3 Home Occupation <br />and shall be limited to a Commercial District. <br /> <br />1793.03 REQUIREMENTS. <br /> <br /> Each person who operates a tattooing establishment shall comply with the <br />following requirements: <br /> <br />(A) Tattooing Room <br /> <br />The room in which tattooing is done shall have an area of not less <br />than one hundred (100) square feet. The walls, floors and ceiling <br />shall have an impervious, smooth and washable surface. <br /> <br />A toilet and lavatory available to the public shall be located in the <br />establishment and shall be accessible at all times that the tattooing <br />establishment is open tbr business. The lavatory shall be supplied <br />with hot and cold running water, soap and sanitary towels. <br /> <br />All tables shall have an impervious and non-absorbent surface, and <br />other equipment shall be constructed of material that can be easily <br />cleaned, shall be finished in a light color, with a smooth washable <br />finish, and shall be separated from waiting customers or observers <br />by a panel at least six feet high or by a door. <br /> <br />The entire premises.and equipment shall be maintained in a clean, <br />sanitary condition and in good repair. <br /> <br />(B) Preparation for Tattoo <br /> <br />The operator shall scrub his hands fbr two minutes with an <br />antiseptic soap and water before starting to tattoo; the hands shall <br />be dried with individual, single-use towels. Surgical gloves shall <br />be worn on both hands by the tattoo operator while tattooing. <br /> <br />No skin area shall be penetrated, abraded, burned or treated with <br />chemicals for the purpose ct' removing, camouflaging or altering <br />any blemish, birthmark, scar or tattoo. <br /> <br />Sat'~ty razors with a new, single-service blade fi)r each customer or <br />patron or a straight-edge razor may be used which will be a single- <br />use razor to be discarded after use. <br /> <br /> <br />
