PLACED ON 1st Reading 6 Referred <br />TO PUBLIC WORKS CO~IITTEE ON 6/tS/95. <br /> <br />O~DINANCE NO. 33-98 <br /> <br />Corrigan, Flannery, George, <br />Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE. authorizing and directing the Mayor <br />(Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, and the Director of <br />Finance to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder in accordance <br />with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood for the purchase of the <br />listed e~ment, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown without <br />separate Resolution of Council. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate <br />'preservation of the public proper~y, health and safety, and to provide for the <br />usual daily operation of municipal departments, now <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY TH~ CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the <br />Director of Public Works, and the Director of Finance are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into a oontract with the lowest and best bidder in <br />accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood for the <br />following equipment, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown, <br />except as hereinafter provided: ~ <br /> <br />Petro Vend Upgrade - City Hall Site <br />Petro Vend Upgrade - Refuse Site <br />Early Warning Siren <br /> <br />18,000 <br />65,000 <br />41,000 <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the <br />Director of Public Works, a~d the Director of Finance are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into contracts as set forth above in amounts not to <br />exceed the specified amounts without further action from Council; and to enter <br />into contracts in excess of s~ecified amounts only upon consent of Council <br />evidenced by adoption of a resolution specifying the authorized amount. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of <br />this Council and of any of its com~ttees that resulted in such formal action <br />were in meetings open to the ~ublic in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure <br />for the reasons stated in the prea~le hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thir~s of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest <br /> <br />period allowed by law. <br /> <br /> opted: 8, <br /> <br />P~esident <br /> <br />Clerk ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
