<br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Mayor (Director of Public
<br />Safety), the Director of Public Works, and the Director of Finance to advertise for bids and enter into a
<br />contract with the lowest and best bidder In accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of
<br />Lakewood for the purchase of the listed vehicles an4 equipment, contracts not to exceed the specified
<br />amounts shown without separate Resolution of Coundl.

<br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public
<br />property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of munidpal departments in that
<br />certain capital improvement projects are to be undertaken in 200:1. In accordance with the Capital
<br />Improvement Plan for fiscal year 2001, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to bid the following items early in the fiscal
<br />year to both obtain competitive pridng and to meet scheduling and ordedng deadlines associated with
<br />the acquisition of certain capital items; now, therefore,
<br />
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, and
<br />the Director of Rnance are hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids and enter into a contract
<br />with the lowest and best bidder in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood for
<br />the following vehicles and equipment, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown, except as
<br />hereinafter provided:
