Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract as set forth above in the amount not <br />to exceed the specified amount without further action from Council; and <br />to enter iht0 a contract in excess of specified amounts only upon consent <br />of Council evidence by adoption of a resolution specifying the authorized <br />amount. <br /> <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Section1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized <br />an directed to engage architectural and/or engineering firms to pmv'tcled <br />professional services in the design and preparation of specir~dons and <br />contract administration and to advertise for bids and enter into a contract <br />with the lowest and best bidder in accordance with the Administrative <br />Code of the City of Lakewood for the following Street [mprovements, <br />contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown, except as <br />hereinafter provided: enter into a contract as set for the above in the <br />amount not to exceed the specified amount without further action from <br />Coundi; and to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder in <br />accordance with the Administrative Code of the Cfcy of Lakewood for the <br />following Building and Fadlities [mprovement, contract not to exceed the <br />specified amount shown, except as hereinafter provided: - <br /> <br />Victoria Avenue (Madison Avenue to Hilliard Road) ...... $112,000 <br />Victoria Court (Victoria Ave. to Warren Road) ........... 21,000 <br />Bayes Avenue (Brown Road to Warren Road) .......... 155,000 <br />Riverside Drive (Detroit Avenue to Edanola Avenue) ...... 91,000 <br />Daleview Avenue (Riverside Drive to McKinley Avenue) .... 86,000 <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Coundl <br />conceming and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeting of. this Council, and that all such deliberation of the Coundl and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, <br />health, safety and welfare in the City and for the usual daily operation of the City for <br />the reasons set forth and defined in the preamble to this ordinance, and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) of its members elected to Council, this <br /> <br /> <br />
