(2) <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Sunday and any holiday as defined in Section 149.10. At no time <br />shall any annual salaried employee accrue more than one h'undred <br />twenty (120) hours, of compensable time. Any employee who has <br />accumulated more than one hundred twenty (120) hours of <br />compensable time prior to the effective 'date of this ordinance shall <br />have one (1) year from the effective date of this ordinance to use <br />that compensatory time that is in excess of the maximum one <br />hundred twenty (120) hours or such excess time shall be waived. <br />No more than forty (40) hours of accrued compensable time shall <br />be converted to cash upon termination of employment. In lieu of <br />such compensable time, all annual salaried employees .covered <br />under the Fair Labor Standards Act shall be paid time and one-half <br />their regular pay for all hours worked in excess of forty hours per <br />week. This paragraph does not apply to traffic signal technicians <br />(Public Works Department), whose overtime compensation is <br />covered in paragraph (b)(2) hereof, or to employees who are paid <br />overtime pursuant to a collective bargaining agreement. <br />Traffic signal technicians shall receive time and one-half of their <br />regular pay for all hours worked in excess of eight hours per day <br />and forty hours per week. Traffic signal technicians shall receive <br />time and one-half for all hours worked on Saturday, Sunday or any <br />holiday, as defined in Section 149.10. <br />Traffic signal technicians (Public Works Department) who work <br />more than four hours as part of a regular shift assignment between <br />the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. shall receive a shift premium <br />of forty-five cents ($.45) I~r hour for all'hours worked during the <br />second shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 'midnight) fifty cents ($.50) per <br />hour for all hours worked during the third shift (12:01 a.m. to 8:30 <br />a.m.). <br /> <br /> 149.05 OVERTTM E ~[N EMERGENCY STTUATTONS. <br /> (a) A full-time permanent hourly employee who is required by his superior to <br />return to work after the completion of his regu ar working hours, or to come to Work on <br />a day on which he is not otherwise required to work, shall be compensated a minimum <br />of four hours work computed at the overtime rate of pay. <br /> <br /> (b) Whenever a full-timepermanent hourly employee is notified personally by <br />his division head that he is requiredto be on stand-by duty for the City, such employee <br />shall be compensated in an amount equal to two hours regular time pay for such stand- <br />by duty, which compensation shall be in addition to any compensation earned by such <br />employee for actual time worked as a result of being called to duty. <br /> <br /> 149.06 COMPENSATION FOR SPECTAL ASSTGNMENTS~ <br /> An hourly, employee or annual salaried employee who is assigned, for a period of <br />thirty (30) calendar days or more, to duties for which a higher wage is provided by <br />ordinance during any part .of a regular time day shall .be paid the i'egular time rate <br />applicable to such duties for all of the regular time worked on such day. If the <br />assignment continues into or is made du_ring overtime, the employee shall be paid the <br />overtime rate. applicable to such d_uties for the period of such overtime assignment or <br />shall accrue compensatory time off pursuant to section 149.04(b)(1) where applicable. <br />If, by reason of multiple assign, merits, two differe.nt rates of pay become applicable for <br />the same time, the employee snail be paid the hignest. <br /> <br />149.07 <br />(a) <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br /> LONGEVZTY COMPENSATION. <br />For put, poses of this section: <br />(1) 'Full-time hourly and salaried employees" shall have the same <br /> meaning as in Section 149.01, but exCluding elected officials and <br /> directors. <br />(2) "Yea~' means 365 days or, in the case of a leap year, 366 days. <br />Effective 3anuary 1, 2002, all full-time hourly and salaried employees not <br />covered by a collective bargaining agreement shall receive, in addition to <br />such employees' compensation established bY any other ordinance, <br />longevity compensation based on the number of' continuous, full years of <br />service with the City, including interim military service, as determined on <br />.lune 15 and December 15 of each year, in accordance with the following <br />schedule: <br /> <br />14¸ <br /> <br /> <br />
