Placed <br />on 2nd Reading 2/4/02. <br /> <br />ORDNANCE NO: 7 -02 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Durm, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell. <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to establish appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the <br />City of Lakewoo~ State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2002. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immed/ate preservation of the public property, health and safety <br />and to provide for the usualdaily operation of municipal departments; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code Section 5705.38 requires that a permanent appropriation measure be established <br />prior to April 1= and the proposed budget will be reviewed and amended during budget hearings to bc held <br />throughout the first quarter of 2002; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that this ordinance is an <br />emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE <br />IH, SECTONS l0 and 13 ofthe SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is <br />necessary for the immed/ate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily <br />operation of municipal departments in that this Ordinance must go into effect prior to April l, 2002..
