The installation and sizing of overflow drains, leaders and <br />conductors shall comply with The ,Ohio Plumbing Code. <br />Overflow drains shall discharge to an approved location and shall not be connected to <br />roof drain lines. <br /> <br />R907.3 Recovering versus replacement (Amended). <br />New roof coverings shall not be installed without first removing existing roof coverings <br />where any of the following conditions occur: <br />1. Where the existing roof or roof covering is water-soaked or has deteriorated to <br />the point that the existing roof or roof covering is not adequate as a base for addiUonal <br />roofing. <br />2. Where the existing roof covering is wood shake, slate, clay, cement or asbestos- <br />cement tile. <br />3. Where the existing roof; <br /> a) Has three or more applications of any type of roof covering or <br /> b) Is unacceptable per Section R907.2 or <br /> c) TS unacceptable for new application per the manufacturer's <br /> specifications. <br />4. For asphalt shingles, when the building is located in an area subject to severe <br />hail damage according to Figure R907.3. <br />Exceptions: <br />1. Complete and separate roofing systems, such as standing-seam metal roof <br />systems, that are designed to transmit the roof loads directly to the building's structural <br />system and that do not rely on existing roofs and roof coverings for support shall not <br />require the removal of existing roof coverings. <br />2. Netal panel, metal shingle, and concrete and clay tile roof coverings shall be <br />permitted to be installed over existing wood shake roofs when applied in accordance <br />with Section R907.4. <br /> <br />R1001.6 Termination (Amended). <br />Chimneys shall extend at least 2 feet (610 mm) higher than any portion of a building <br />within 15 feet (4572 mm), but shall not be less than 3 feet (914 mm) above the point <br />where the chimney passes through the roof. <br /> <br />Chapters 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32 (Amended). <br />Chapters 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32 are hereby repealed in their entirety and in <br />place thereof shall be substituted the Ohio P/urnbing Code, being Chapters 4101:3-1 to <br />4101:3-13 of the Ohio Administrative Code and the Ohio Bu#d/ng £ode, save and <br />except such portions thereof as may be hereinafter amended or deleted. <br /> <br />Chapters 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41 and 42 (Amended). <br />Chapters 33, 34, 35, 36, 37~ 38, 39, 40, 41 and 42 are hereby repealed in their entirety <br />and in place thereof shall be substituted the 2002 National Electrical Code per the City <br />of Lakewood Ordinance 56-98. <br /> <br />Appendix G Swimming Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs (Repealed). Appendix G is hereby <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Appendix H Patio Covers (Repealed). Appendix H is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />AoDendix I Private Sewage Disposal (Repealed). Appendix I is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Appendix .1 Existing Buildings and Structures (Repealed). Appendix .1 is hereby <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Appendix K Sound Transmission (Repealed.) Appendix K is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> <br />
