(b) Upon adding the contractor's name to the List of Registered Contractors, <br /> the Building Commissioner shall issue the registrant a Certificate of Registration as <br /> evidence of compliance with the above requirements. <br /> <br /> (c) Said Certificate of Registration shall be valid for the calendar year in which <br /> issued and subject to renewal on .lanuary i of each year thereafter. <br /> <br /> (d) Where an individual has assigned a state issued license to a bus ness <br />entity pursuant to Ohio R.C. 4740:07, the Building Commissioner shall issue the <br />Certificate of Registration in both the name of the individual and the business entity. <br />Any work conducted by a registered business entity or individual is deemed to be <br />conducted under th~ personal supervision of the individual named in the Certificate of <br />Registration and all violations of any terms of this Building Code are deemed to have <br />been committed by the individual named in the Certificate of Registration. <br /> <br /> (e) Contractors, both individuals and business entities, registered pursuant to <br />this section shall warrant or be presumed to have warranted that all work to be <br />performed and all materials to be supplied by contract are in compliance with all <br />applicable ordinances of the City unless the contractee has actual knowledge of any <br />deficiencies or noncompliance at the time the contract is entered into. <br /> <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />1321.02 REGi*STRATI*ON BY BUZLDI'NG COMM*rss*rONER' <br /> <br /> (a) The Building Commissioner shall maintain a list of Registered Contractors <br />by Trade. The Commissioner shall record the name of any contractor, being an <br />individual or a business entity, on the List of Registered Contractors upon providing the <br />Commissioner with the following: <br /> <br />(1) A valid and unexpired license issued for the year and the trade for <br />which registration is sought, pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4740. <br />Where a contractor seeks registration for work pertaining only to one, two <br />and three family properties and does not have a state issued license, the <br />Building Commissioner may accept a valid license issued by another City, <br />which in the opinion of the Commissioner, has a qualified examination; or <br />a successfully completed written examination based upon the applicable <br />codes and ordinances, conducted by the Building Commissioner, <br />evidencing the registrant's ability to perform work in the trade for which <br />registration is sought: <br /> <br />(2) Contractor's liability insurance, including but without limitation, for <br />bodily injury in the amount of one hundred thousand dollars/three <br />hundred thousand dollars ($100,000/$300,000), and for property damage <br />in the amount of at least fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) or such greater <br />amounts as permitted by Ohio R.C. 4740.06(B)(4). <br /> <br />(3) A completed "Request for Registration/Renewal of Registration" form <br />as prescribed by the Building Commissioner. <br /> <br />(4) A fee of seventy five dollars ($75.00) for the registration and, if <br />applicable, a fee of seventy five dollars ($75.00) for the testing provided <br />for in paragraph (1) above. <br /> <br />(5) Where work for which registration is required is started prior to <br />registration, the required registration fee shall be doubled, <br /> <br /> <br />
