(b) Term of Service. An auxiliary police officer shall serve so long as the <br />Director of Public Safety may direct, or until a resignation submitted by a <br />member is accepted by the Director of Public Safety. <br /> <br />(c) Qualification of Members. The members of the auxiliary police unit <br />may not be under the age of eighteen years at the time of their <br />appointment, and be subject to such other requirements as provided by <br />the rules and regulations provided in subsection (e) hereof. Where <br />candidates interested in becoming a member auxiliary police unit <br />outnumber the need for members, City of Lakewood residents shall be <br />given priority. <br /> <br />(d) ... <br /> <br /> Section 2.
