<br />) <br /> <br />713.03 LICENSE APPLICATION. <br />Every persòn, society, club, firm or corporation desiring to open or maintain a <br />billiard room or bowling alley must make application to the Mayor for a license therefor, <br />which application shall be in the form prescribed in this chapter. <br /> <br />713 04 CITIZENS REQUIREMENT. <br />No license shall be granted to a person who is not a citizen of the United States. <br /> <br />713.05 CONTENTS OF APPLICATION. <br />Every applicant for a license shall file with the Mayor a written application stating <br />the full name and address, including street and number, of the applicant, or if more <br />than one person, or if an association or firm, the full names of all parties interested, <br />and the addresses, including street and number. If the applicant is a club, society or <br />corporation, the application shall contain a complete fiat of the officers of such club, <br />söciety òr corporation with their names and addresses, including street and number, <br />and shall also give the state in which such club, society or corporation is organized and <br />the names of one or more persons whom the club, society or corporation desires to <br />designate as its manager or managers, person or persons, in charge, with their <br />addresses. The application shall also state the following: <br /> <br />(a) The premiseS where the billiard room or bowling alley is to be conducted, including <br />the street and number. <br /> <br />(b) The age of the applicants, in the case of individuals, and the age of the manager <br />and officers, in the case of a club, society or corporation. <br /> <br />(c) Whether the applicant or manager is a citizen of the United States. <br /> <br />(d) Whether the applicant has ever been eTÍgaged in operating a billiard room or <br />bowling alley, and when, where and how long in each place he operated within the last <br />five years. <br /> <br />(e) The name of the owner of the premises in which such billiard room or bowling alley <br />is located and the complete address of such owner. The application shall be signed by <br />the applicant or applicants, or, in the case of a club, society or corporation, the <br />application shall be signed by the manager or any of its officers. If the application is for <br />a license to operate a place for bowling, the application shall also state: <br />(1) Whether intoxicating liquor or beer is to be sold on or within the premises. <br />(2) Whether there is a direct connection or access by doorway or otherwise from the <br />bowling alley to a room or premises wherein intoxicating liquor or beer is sold. <br />(3) In the event intoxicating liquor or beer is sold in premises described in either <br />subsection (f)(1) or (2) hereof, then the application shall state the names and <br />addresses of the licensee holding the permit or license for the sale of intoxicating liquor <br />or beer. <br />(4) Whether facilities exist for public ingress and egress to and from the bowling <br />alley other than through the room where intoxicating liquor or beer is kept for sale. <br /> <br />713.06 INVESTIGATION OF APPLICANT; REASONS FOR REJECTION; APPEAL. <br />The Mayor shall cause an investigation to be made as to the character of the <br />applicant or applicants or the officers of the club, society or corporation and of the <br />person who is to have general management of the business. The application shall be <br />rejected if the Mayor finds any of the persons named in the application not of good <br />moral character or that any of such persons have previously been connected with any <br />billiard room or bowling alley, where the license has been revoked, or where any of the <br />provisions with reference to billiard rooms or bowling alleys has been violated, or if the <br />billiard roOm or bowling alley soµght to be licensed does not comply in every way with <br />the regulations, ordinances and laws applicable thereto. If rejection of his application is <br />made, the applicant for license shall be notified in writing of the reasons for rejection <br />and shall have the right to appeal to a board composed of the members of Council, <br />
