<br />which Board shall have the power, after full hearing, to confirm the rejection or order <br />the license issued. In case of appeal the applicant shall, within ten days after receiving <br />notice of rejection, perfèct his appeal by leaving notice in writing of his intention to <br />appeal at the office of the Mayor after such notice is filed with the Mayor. <br /> <br />713.07 INSPECTOR; DUTIES. <br />The Mayor may appoint an Inspector of Billiard Rooms and Bowling Alleys whose <br />duty it shall be to obtain information pertaining to all applicants for licenses concerning <br />their character, the physical condition of the place in which such billiard room or <br />bowling alley is to be located and all other information required by the Mayor in <br />determining the fitness of such applicant generally. The Inspector shall have the <br />assistance and cooperation of the Building Commissioner, the Commissioner of Health, <br />the Chief of Police and any other department of the City in procuring such information. <br />Such Inspector shall furnish such information in writing to the Mayor and such <br />Inspector shall be undér the direction of the Mayor. Such Inspector shall have access <br />at all times to all billiard rooms, bowling alleys or rooms where applications for a license <br />are pending, or to any part of the building wherein they are located. He shall <br />investigate all complaints and shall, at intervals, inspect all billiard rooms and bowling <br />alleys within the City and make a report of such inspection to the Mayor. He shall also <br />report all violations of this chapter or the rules governing the same to the Mayor in <br />writing. Such inspector shall be aid such salary as shall be determined by Council. <br /> <br />713.08 LICENSE FEE, EXCEPTIONS; EXPIRATION. <br />Every person, society, club, firm or corporation to whom a license is granted for <br />the operation of a billiard room shall pay an annual fee therefor in the sum of ten <br />dollars ($10.00) for the first table and one dollar ($1.00) for each additional table. Every <br />person, society, club, firm or corporation to whom a license is granted for operating a <br />bowling alley shall pay an annual fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for the first alley and one <br />dollar ($1.00) for each additional alley, provided, however, that where the applicant is a <br />society or club not organized for profit, no license fee shall be charged for the use of <br />any table or tables or alley. All moneys received by way of license fees shall be paid into <br />the General Fund. <br /> <br />Any license granted hereunder shall be for the remainder of the calendar year in <br />which it is granted, unless sooner revoked as provided by this chapter. <br /> <br />713.09 LICENSE ISSUANCE; CLASS OF LICENSE. <br />The Mayor shall issue a license pursuant to the provisions of this chapter and <br />such application, provided that the license fees have been paid, that he has received <br />the information required by this chapter and that under the terms and conditions of this <br />chapter he deems the applicant to possess the requisite qualifications and the premises <br />to possess the requisite degree of sUitability for conducting the billiarc;l room or bowling <br />alley for which the license is sought. There shall be one class of licenses for a billiard <br />room and two classes of licenses for bowling alleys: <br /> <br />(a) Billiard rooms. A license for a billiard roorn shall be designated a "'billiard license". <br /> <br />(b) Bowling alleys. <br />(1) Class I licenses shall be issued when a bowling alley is operated within or in <br />connection with which intoxicating liquor or beer is sold, or to which there is a direct <br />connection or access by doorway or otherwise with a room or premises wherein <br />intoxicating liquor or beer is sold. <br />(2) Class II licenses shall be issued when a bowling alley is operated within or in <br />connection with which no intoxicating liquor or beer is sold and to which there is not a <br />direct connection or access by doorway or otherwise with a room or premises wherein <br />intoxicating liquor or beer is sold. <br /> <br />713.10 AGE RESTRICTIONS; EXCEPTIONS. <br />
