<br />ORDINANCE NO. 60-06 BY' ¡n,.,,,'?";, Jb1;jr:Œ¡rp&~o, "''', <br />FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it received the affirmative vote of at <br />least five (5) members elected to Council, otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the <br />earliest period allowed by law, to authorize the Mayor on behalf of the City of LakeWood to <br />accept transfer of title from Cuyahoga County! Ohio of one parcel of rea! estate located north of <br />the Rocky River Bridge and southwest of 510ane Avénue In Lakewood, Ohio (legal descripüon <br />attached as Exhibit A) otherwise known as the "Rocky River Bridge Parcèl", for the purpose of <br />either expanding the City's pubiic park facilities, the Port of Lakewood or utilizing the parael for <br />future deveiopment <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Rocky River Bridge Paraellocated In Lakewood, Ohio, as described in the <br />attached legal descriptjon is ~urrentlytitled to Cuyahoga County, Ohio; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to either expand its public park facilities or utilize the parael <br />for a future, development; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cuyahoga County desires to provide the land to the City of Lakewood at <br />minimal cost; and! <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cuyahoga County has provided land on the bank of the West Side of the <br />Rocky River for development, the City of Lakewood nOw wishes to explore the development of <br />the east bank of the Rocky River; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinanae shali take <br />effect at the earliest date possible a$ set forth in ARTICLE Ill, SECTONS 10 and 13 of the <br />SEOOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE OTY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it provides for the usual <br />daliy operation of municipal departments in that correction offiaers within the Division of Poliae <br />have been reaeiving benefits of employment under their previous contract. Now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWobD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood is hereby authorized to <br />acaept transfer of title from Cuyahoga County, Ohio of one parael of real estate located estate <br />located north of the Rocky River Bridge and southwest of Sloane Avenue in Lakewood, Ohio <br />Lakewood, Ohio, (legal description attached as Exhibit A), for the purpose of either expanding <br />the City's public park facilities or uülizing the parael for future development. <br /> <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal arnons of this Council <br />conaerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were passed in an open meeting of <br />this Council and that all deliberaüons of this Council and any of its committees that resuited in <br />such actions were in meetings open to the public and in compliance with legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 3.
