(5) Where work for which registration iS required is started pdor to <br />registration, the required registration fee shall be doubled <br /> <br /> (b) Upon adding the contractor's name to the List of Registered <br />Contractors, the Building Commissioner shall issue the registrant a Certificate of <br />Registration as evidbnce of compliance with the above requirements <br /> <br /> (c) Said Certificate of Registration shall be valid for the calendar year in <br />which issued and subject to renewal on January t of each year therearte[ <br /> <br /> (d) Where an individual has assigned a state issued license to a business <br />entity pursuant to Ohio Revised Code §4740.07, the Building Commissioner shall issue <br />the Certificate of Registration in both the name of the individual and the business entity <br />Any work conducted by a registered business entity or individual is deemed to be <br />conducted under the personal supervision of the individual named in the Certificate of <br />Registration and all violations of any terms of this Building Code are deemed to have <br />been committed by the individual named in the Certificate of Registration <br /> <br /> (e) Contractors, both ir~dividuals and buSiness entities, registered <br />pursuant to this section shall warrant or be presumed to have warranted that all work to <br />be performed and all materials to be supplied by contract are in compliance with all <br />applicable ordinances of the City unless the contractee has actual knowledge of any <br />deficiencies or noncompliance at the time the contract is entered into <br /> <br />Shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows <br /> <br />1321.02 REGISTRATION BY BUILDING COMMISSIONER <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />The Building Commissioner shall maintain a list of Registered Contractors by <br />Trade. The Commissioner shall record the name of any contractor, being an <br />individFal or a business entity, on the List of Registered Contractors upon <br />providing the Commissioner with the following' <br /> <br />(1) A valid and unexpired license issued for the year and the trade for which <br />registration is sought, pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4740.' Where a <br />contractor seeks registrafion for work pertaining only to one, two and three <br />family properties and does not have a state issued license, the Building <br />Commissioner may accept a valid license issued by another City, which in the <br />opinion of the commissioner, has a qualified examinatibn; or a successfully <br />completed wdtten examination based upon the applicable codes and <br />ordinar~ces, conducted by the Building Commissioner, evidencing the <br />registrant's ability to perform work in the trade for which registration is sought. <br /> <br />(2) Contractor's liability insurance, including but without limitation, for bodily <br />injury in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars/Three Hundred <br />Thousand Dollars ($100,000/$300,000), and roi' property damage in the amount <br />of at least Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) or such greater amounts as <br />permitted by Ohio Revised Oode §4740.06(B)(4) <br /> <br />(3) A completed "Request for Registration/Renewal of Registration" form as <br />prescribed by the Building Commissioner; <br /> <br />(4) A fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for the registration and, if <br />applicable, a fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for the testing provided for <br />in subsection (1) above <br /> <br />(5) Where work for which registration is required is started prior to <br />registration, the required registration fee shall be doubled <br /> <br /> (b) Upon adding the contractor's name to the List of Registered <br />Contractors, the Building Commissioner shall issue the registrant a Certificate of <br />Registration as evidence of compliance with the above requirements <br /> <br /> <br />
