The license for a family swimming pool <br />shall be issued for an indefinite period but shall not be transferable as to person or <br />location. The license for a pub c sw mm ng pool shall be issued yearly, and a new <br />license shall be secured on oi' before .June :/_ of each year, wh ch will permit operation or <br />maintenance unt the last day of the following Flay. All licenses shall be in writing and <br />shall state the Conditions thereof and the term for which the license is granted. It shall <br />be unlawful for any person to conduct, operate, maintain or manage any swimming <br />pool without cOmplying with the requirements of this chapter, and the Divisions of <br />Public Health and Building inspeCtion are charged with the enforcement of the <br />provisions hereof. <br /> <br /> ~.721.06 REVOCATrON OF L~'CENSE; APPEAL. <br /> Any license granted by the Comm ssoner of Health hereunder may be revoked <br />by him for failure to comply w th ru es and regulaUoos promulgated hereunder or for <br />failure to comply with any provisions of this chapter, or whenever, in the determination <br />of the Commissioner of Health, further operation under such license creates a menace <br />to the health, safeLY Or mOra s of the users of the Swimming pool. The holde~ of any <br />license Which has been revoked may appeal to Council in writing within thirLY days of <br />Such revocation, and Council shall, at its nex~ regular meeting, determine the legaliLY or <br />reasooabieness of the revocation. No appeal under this section, however, shall entitle <br />the license holder to continue operaton of the swimming pool pending action of <br />Council <br /> <br /> :1721,07 ZNSPECTZON. <br /> The Commissioner of Hea th shall inspec~ or cause to be inspected all pools <br />within the City at such times as he may deem necessary to carry out the intent of this <br />chapter. The CommissiOner of Health, or his duly authorized representatives, is <br />authorized to enter upon any premises, Private or Public, to take samples of water from <br />the pools at such times as he may deem necessary and to require the owner, Proprietor <br />or operator to comply with the prov s ohs of this chapter. In the event of the failure of <br />compliance, a~er due notice, w th any provisions of this chapter, the COmmissioner of <br />Health shall have the power to abate or cause a suspension of the use of such Pool <br />until such time as the same is, in the opinion of the Commissioner of Health, no longer <br />a menace or a hazard 1~o health, safely or morals. <br /> <br /> 1721,o8 COMPLIANCE W~'TH REQUZREMENTS OF Si*ATE <br /> DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, <br /> Tn the construction operation and maintenance of any swimming pool, laws of <br />the Sb~te of Ohio and the rules, regulations and requirements of the S~ate Department <br />of Health shall be observed~ In the event of any c°nfiic~ between the provisions of this <br />chapter and any provision of Sta~e law or requirement, rule or r~gulation Of the Ohio <br />Department of Pubiic Health, the provision imposing the higher standard or the more <br />stringent requirement shall be controlling. <br /> <br /> Z72;J,,09 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. <br /> All reasonable precautions shall be taken to protect the users of public and family <br />swimming pools from injury or accident Convenient means of ingress and egress shall <br />be provided and the depth of water and any irregularities of the bob~om shaJl be dearly <br />indicated. SafeLY appliances Such as lifobuoys, life-hooks, bamboo poles or ropes and <br />equipment including first-aid kits shall be provided and be readily accessible. <br /> <br /> 1721.10 POLLUTION, <br /> NO body of water, Whether natural or artificial~ which contains sewage, waste Or <br />other contaminating or polluting ingredients rendering the water hazardous to health, <br /> <br /> <br />
