municipal election and the primary for the particular office shall not be <br />held. In case there shall not be more than six (6) persons who shall have <br />filed petitions for the office of Council-at-Large as provided for in this <br />Charter, then said persons shall be the candidates at the regular Municipal <br />election and the primary for the particular office shall not be held. <br />Section 3. The Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County is hereby directed to <br />submit the following question to the electors of the City at the general election on <br />November 4, 2008: <br />Shall Article XIX, Section2, Primary Elections of the Second <br />Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood be amended to change <br />the date that primary elections would be held in the City of <br />Lakewood to the second Tuesday in September prior to a general <br />municipal election? <br />Section 4. The Clerk of this Council is instructed immediately to file a certified <br />copy of this Ordinance and the proposed form of the ballot question with the County <br />Board of Elections not later than September 5, 2008. <br />Section 5. That if the majority of electors vote in favor of adopting the Second <br />Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood, it shall become effective January 1, 2009. <br />Section 6.
