No building or portion of any building shall be used as a place where food is manufactured far the purpose of sale unless it is
<br />connected with a public sewer, and unless every room thereof in which food is manufactured is supplied with running water, and uNess
<br />the floor of such room is of wood or masonry material so wnstmcted as to drain freely into a public sewer
<br />1739.07 WATER CLOSET..
<br />No room in which a water close[ or urinal is located shall open directly by door, window, duct or otherwise, into any room
<br />where food is manufactured.
<br />1739.08 SINES.
<br />In every room in which tools, utensils, implements, containers or other apparatus used in a place where food is manufactmed
<br />for the purpose of sale are washed, there shall be a sink supplied with hot and cold runniug water
<br />1739.09 WASHING FACILITIES.
<br />In every place where food is manufactured for the purpose of sale, soap and clean individual towels shall be provided a[ all
<br />times for every person employed or engaged therein.
<br />1739.10 PERSONAL HYGIENE.
<br />Every person employed or engaged in a place where food is manufactured for the purpose of sate shall wash his hands before
<br />beginning work and after visiting the toilet room and shall be clean in his habits
<br />1739.11 CLOTHING OF EMPLOYEES.
<br />Every person who is employed or engaged in handling food, food ingredients or food products in a place where food is
<br />manufactured for the propose of sale shall wear washable outer clothing and a cap, and such outer clothing shall be in a clean condition
<br />at all times.
<br />1739.12 USE OF TOBACCO,
<br />No person shall smoke or chew tobacco or use snuff in any place where food is manufactured for the purpose of sale except in
<br />rooms in which no Food or food ingredients or food products are kept or handled.
<br />1739.13 CLEANLINESS OF UTENSILS AND OTHER APPARATUS.
<br />No tool, utensil, implement, container or other apparatus which is unclean or rusty, or which is in such condition that it cannot
<br />easily be cleaned, shall be used in the preparation or manufacture of food nor be in a place where food is manufactured for the purpose of
<br />sale. No tool, utensil, implement, container or other apparatus shall be used in a place where food is manufactured for the purpose of sale
<br />unless it is maintained in a clean condition at all times, and every tool, utensil, implement, container or other apparatus, which in the
<br />process of preparation or manufacture of food comes in contact with any food or food ingredients or food products, shall be thoroughly
<br />cleaned in boiling water at least once during each day of use.
<br />1739.14 IISE OF UTENSILS AND OTHER APPARATUS.
<br />No tool, utensil, implement, container or other apparatus that comes in contact with food, food ingredients or food products
<br />shall be used for any other purpose.
<br />1739.15 CONTAMINATION OF FOOD BY MACHINES AND OTHER
<br />APPARATUS.
<br />All machinery, apparatus and pipes used in the process of manufacturing food shall be so constructed and equipped es to
<br />prevent oil waste, dust, dirt or other foreign matter from entering or contaminating any food, food ingredients or food products.
<br />1739.16 COMPOSITION OF MATERIALS.
<br />No tap, faucet, fountain, tank, containeq pipe, conduit, cooking utensil, funnel or measuring cup composed or made, either
<br />wholly or in part, of lead or other metallic substance or any other material that is or will be affected 6y any other substance or material
<br />coming in contact with i[ in the process of operation, so that unclean, unwholesome, corrupted or deleterious compounds aze formed
<br />therein or thereby, as a result of which any food, food ingredients or food product shall be rendered unclean, unwholesome, corrupted or
<br />detrimental to health, shalt be used in any place where food is manufactured for the purpose of sale.
<br />1739.17 REFRIGERATORS.
<br />Every refrigerator, ice box and all appurtenances thereof in which any food, food ingredients or food products aze stored, shall
<br />be kept in good repair and in clean condition and the compartment used for the storage of ice shall be lined with a nonabsorbent
<br />substance and shall be watertight.
<br />1739.18 REFRIGERATION SYSTEM; OPERATION.
<br />Every place in which food is manufactured for sale, served or sold shall be equipped with a refrigeration system of adequate
<br />capacity to hold all milk, or other dairy products, meat or meat products, or other food products that aze subject to spoilage and that
<br />require refrigeration to prevent such spoilage. All such refrigerator systems shall be operated so as to maintain a low enough temperature
<br />to properly protect the food substance contained therein and in no case shall the temperature be permitted to be above fifty degrees
<br />Fahrenheit.
<br />1739.19 PROTECTION OF FOOD.
<br />All food, food ingredients or food products in a place where food is manufactured for the purpose of sale shall be covered and
<br />protected in such manner that they shall mot come in contact with dust, dirt, insects or other means of contamination, and every container,
<br />vat, tank and mixing machine shall be provided with a cover, and shall be kept covered when food ingedients and products are therein,
<br />except when in the procesaof manufacturing it is necessary for such container, vat, tank or mixing machine to he uncovered.
<br />1739.20 PLACING FOOD UPON PUBLIC WAYS.
<br />No food, food ingredients or food products, except when in a watertight container, shall be suffered or permitted [o be placed
<br />in any thoroughfare or public place, unless of least two fee[ above Ne surface thereof
<br />1739.21 ADULTERATION..
<br />No food, food ingredients or food products that are adulterated, unclean, corrupted, unwholesome, decayed, decomposed or
<br />rancid, or that do not conform to standards provided by ]aw and ordinance, shall be in any place where food is manufactured for the
<br />purpose of sale, nor shall any such food be sold or offered for sale by or from any place where food is manufactured for the purpose of
<br />sale. Any such food, food ingredient or Food product shall be deemed to he adulterated, unclean, corrupted, unwholesome, decomposed
<br />or rancid or not Lo conform to standards provided by law or ordinance If it does not conform with the provisions of Title Nine of this
