Placed on 2°d <br />Reading 7/21/08.) <br />ORDINANCE N0. 66-08 BY: Antonio, sullock, sutler, never, <br />Madigan, Powers, Summers. <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, creating a <br />new section 905.21, Rental of City Property of the Codified Ordinances of the <br />City of Lakewood for the purpose of establishing facilities that shall be made <br />available to the public for rent and to establish fees for such rental. <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to define what property owned and maintained <br />by the City of Lakewood should be made available for rent to the public and to <br />establish fees for said rental; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote. of at least five (5) members elected <br />thereto determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this <br />ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE <br />III, SECTONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of <br />municipal departments in that rental fees and property to be made available for <br />rent must be established immediately. Now Therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That new Section 905.21, Rental of City Property, of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, is hereby enacted to read as <br />follows: <br />905.21 Rental of City Property <br />(a) The Auditorium located at City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, <br />Ohio and the Lakewood Park Women's Club Pavilion located in Lakewood Park, 14532 <br />Lake Avenue Lakewood, Ohio may be made available to members of the public for use <br />for various events and functions.
