(b) Effective January 1, 2002, all full-time hourly and salaried employees not <br />covered by a collective bargaining agreement shall receive, in addition to such <br />employees' compensation established by any other ordinance, longevity <br />compensation based on the number of continuous, full years of service with the <br />City, including interim military services, as determined on June 15 and December <br />15 of each year, in accordance with the following schedule: <br />Years of <br />Service Compen <br />cation Years of <br />Service Compensate <br />on <br />5 $250.00 13 $650.00 <br />6 300.00 14 700.00 <br />7 350.00 15 750.00 <br />8 400.00 16 800.00 <br />9 450.00 17 850.00 <br />10 500.00 18 900.00 <br />11 550.00 19 950.00 <br />12 600.00 20 1000.00 <br />(c) A full-time hourly or salaried employee not covered by a collective bargaining <br />agreement who terminates his or her employment on a date which falls between the <br />determination dates set forth in subsection (b) hereof shall receive that portion of <br />longevity compensation to which he or she is entitled on a pro rata basis up to the date <br />of termination. <br />(d) The compensation provided for in this section shall tie paid in two equal <br />installments by the Director of Finance as soon as possible after June 15 and December <br />15 of each year. <br />is hereby repealed. <br />Section 2. It is found and. determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerhing and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings <br />open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety <br />and welfare in the City and for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set <br />forth and defined in the preamble to this ordinance, and provided it receives the <br />
