PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE N0. <br />20-10 PLACED ON 1~ READING & REFERRED TO THE RULES & ORDINANCES. <br />COMMITTEE 2/1/10, 2ND READING 2/16/10. <br />ORDINANCE NO, 20-10 gY: Antonio, Bullock, sutler, <br />Madigan, Powers, Smith, Summers. <br />AN ORDINANCE to amend Section 144.04, Additional Credits, of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to allow addition credit to be <br />extended to candidates for original appointment to a civil service position where <br />the candidate has been employed part time as a police officer with the division of <br />police for twelve months preceding the examination. <br />WHEREAS, since the time that Chapter 144 of the Codified Ordinances <br />was enacted, the City of Lakewood has started employing part time police <br />officers; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood would like to extend the same credit to <br />members of the Division of Police who are employed on a part-time basis. Now, <br />therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That Section 144.04, Additional Credits, of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood currently reading as follows: <br />144.04 ADDITIONAL CREDITS <br />(a) Applicants otherwise eligible and qualified for original appointment to the <br />position of Patrol Officer shall be extended the following additional credit <br />for a degree from a nationally accredited college or university, if the <br />applicant can satisfactorily furnish proof of same. Only one such <br />additional credit may be added to any individual applicant's score. <br />Percentage of Passing Score De ree <br />2% Associate <br />5% Bachelor <br />(b) Credit for Active Service in United States Military: Any applicant otherwise <br />eligible and qualified may receive additional credit as follows for active <br />
