military service with any branch of the United States military including the <br />Coast Guard. No such additional credit may be awarded unless the <br />applicant in question received an Honorable Discharge from the service. <br />Discharges under other than honorable conditions; including without <br />limitation, General, Undesirable, For the Good of the Service, and so forth, <br />shall make the applicant ineligible for such additional credit. Such credits <br />shall be added to a passing score as follows: <br />For each year of honorable service, one (1) point shall be added to <br />a passing score, up to a maximum of three (3) points. <br />2, Veterans discharged prior to three years with a .service-connected <br />physical disability, for any cause shall automatically qualify for the <br />three (3) points set forth in section B (1) above, assuming <br />separation by Honorable Discharge. <br />In addition to the three (3) points credit set forth above, a service <br />member may receive the following additional credits for assignment <br />to areas where the service member is exposed to danger as a <br />consequence of hostile fire or where the service <br />member is awarded Hazardous Duty Compensation by reason of <br />assignment to a geographic area where such potential danger <br />exists. <br />Receipt of Hazardous Duty Pay as a consequence only of the <br />particular duty or job assignment shall not qualify under this <br />section. Credit shall be awarded as follows: <br />a. For such service as above from one (1) day to six (6) months, one (1) <br />additional point; <br />b. For such service as above in excess of six (6) months but no longer <br />than (1) year, two (2) additional points; <br />c. For such service as above in excess of one (1) year, three (3) <br />additional points; <br />d. The maximum number of additional points under this section 404 B (3) <br />shall be three {3). <br />Not withstanding the total points that might result from the computations <br />contained herein, no applicant shall receive more than five (5) additional credit points <br />as a consequence of military service and in accordance with this rule.
