shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />353.99 PENALTY AND WAIVER. <br />Whoever violates anyy of the provisions of this chapter for which no penalty is <br />otherwise provided shall be subject to the civil penalties prescribed in Section 309.99. <br />Section 3. That Chapter 355, Parking Meters, within. Title Seven, Parking of the <br />Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood currently reading as <br />follows: <br />355.01 PARKING METER ZONES. <br />The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized and directed to establish parking <br />meter zones on such streets or portions thereof as he may deem necessary for the <br />proper control of traffic. The Director shall determine the location of such meter zones <br />on the basis of an applicable survey and shall consider the following: <br />(a) The existing and potential traffic movement, volume and conditions; <br />(b) The desirability of expediting travel during normal and peak hours of <br />vehicular traffic; <br />(c) The maximum promotion of public safety including the study of the location <br />and frequency of accidents; <br />(d) The convenience and welfare of the general public in parking, standing, <br />loading and unloading, and the use of the streets as affecting business concerns; <br />(e) Economy in the expenditure of money. <br />355.02 DESIGNATION OF PARKING SPACES. <br />The Director of Public Safety is hereby directed and authorized to mark off individual <br />parking spaces in the parking zones designated and described in Section 355.01 and in <br />such other zones as may hereafter be established, such parking spaces to be <br />designated by lines painted or durably marked on the curbing or surface of the street. <br />At each space so marked off, no person shall park any vehicle in such a way that such <br />vehicle is not entirely within the limits of the space so designated. <br />(Ord. 4830. Passed 4-21-52. ) <br />355.03 INSTALLATION OF METERS. <br />(a) In parking meter zones, parking meters shall be installed upon the curb or <br />sidewalk immediately adjacent to the parking spaces provided for in Section 355.02, <br />such 'installation to be placed not more than two feet from the curb nor more than four <br />feet from the front line of the parking space as indicated. <br />24 <br />
