Date of the jurisdictions entry into the National Flood Insurance Program is: <br />February 3rd, 1987. <br />Ii302.1 Exterior walls (Amended). <br />Exterior walls with a fire separation distance less than 3 feet (914 mm) shall <br />have not less than Gone-hour fire-resistive rating with exposure from both <br />sides. Projections shall not extend beyond the distance determined by the <br />following two methods, whichever results in the lesser projections: <br />1. A point one-third distance to the property line from an assumed vertical <br />plane located where protected openings are required. <br />2. More than 12 inches (305 mm) into areas where openings are prohibited. <br />Projections extending into the fire separation distance shall have not less than <br />one-hour fire- resistive construction on the underside. The above provisions <br />shall not apply to walls which are perpendicular to the line used to determine the <br />fire separation distance. <br />8303.1 Habitable rooms (?,mendedl. <br />All habitable rooms shall be provided with aggregate glazing area of not less <br />than 10 percent of the floor area of such rooms. Natural ventilation shall be <br />through windows, door, louvers or other approved openings to the outdoor air. <br />Such openings shall be provided with ready access or shall otherwise be readily <br />controllable by the building occupants. The minimum openable area to the <br />outdoors shall be 4 percent of the floor area being ventilated. <br />Exceptions: <br />1. The glazed areas need not be openable where the opening is not required <br />by Section It310 and an approved mechanical ventilation system is provided <br />capable of producing 0.35 air change hour in the room or a whole-house <br />mechanical ventilation system is installed capable of supplying outdoor <br />ventilation air of IS cubic feet per minute (cfm) (7.OSL/s) per occupant <br />computed on the basis of two occupants for the fnst bedroom and one occupant <br />for each additional bedroom. <br />2. The glazed areas need not be provided in morns where Exceptions 1 <br />above is satisfied and artificial light is provided capable of producing an average <br />illumination of 6 footcandles (6.461ux) over the area of the room at height of 30 <br />inches (762 rmn) above the floor level. <br />8303.6 Required lreatine (Amended <br />When the winter design temperahue in Table 8301.2(1) is below 60°F (16°C), <br />every dwelling unit shall be provided with heating facilities capable of <br />maintaining a minimum room temperature of 70°F (21°C) at a point 3 feet <br />(914mm) above the floor and 2 feet (610imn) from exterior walls in all rooms at <br />the design temperature. <br />Section 8305 Ceiling heielrt (Repealed). Section 8305 is hereby repealed. <br />8311 1 Exit door required (Amended <br />Not less than hvo exit doors conforming to this chapter shall be provided from <br />each dwelling unit unless otherwise permitted by other applicable ordinances. <br />The required exit doors shall provide for direct access from the habitable <br />portions of the dwelling to the exterior without requiring travel through a <br />garage. <br />8315.1 Handrails (Amended <br />Handrails having minimum and maximum heights of 34nrclres and 38 inches <br />(864 mm and 965 mm), respectively, measured vertically from the nosing of the <br />treads, shall be provided on at least one side of stairways.
