Section R202 Definitions (Amended). <br />ACCESSORY STRUCT[RE. <br />In one, hvo and three-family dwellings not more than three stories high with <br />separate means of egress, a building, the use of which is incidental to that of the <br />mahr building and which is located on the same lot. <br />BUILDING. <br />Building shall mean auy one, hvo and three family dwelling or portion thereof, <br />including townhouses, that is nsed, or designed or intended to be used for human <br />habitation, for living, sleeping, cooking or eating purposes, or any combination <br />thereof, and shall include accessory sh uctures thereto. <br />CONDITIONED AREA. <br />That area within a building provided with heating and/or cooling systems or <br />appliances capable of maintaining, through design or heat loss/gain, 70°F(21°C) <br />daring the heating season. <br />DWELLING. <br />Any building that contains one, hvo or tluee dwelling units used, intended, or <br />designed to be built, used, rented, leased, let or hired out to be occupied, or that <br />are occupied for living purposes. <br />HABITABLE SPACE. <br />A space in a building (other than in a basement) for living, sleeping, eating or <br />cooking.
