first displayed. <br />(3) When a flashing circular red signal indication is displayed as a <br />beacon to supplement another traffic control device, road users are <br />notified that there is a need to pay additional attention to the mes- <br />sage contained thereon or that the regulatory requirements of the <br />other traffic control device, which mtght not be applicable at all <br />times, are currently applicable. Use of this signal indication shall <br />be limited to supplementing stop, do not enter, or wrong way signs, <br />and to applications where compliance with the supplemented tr•af- <br />fic conhol device requires a stop at a designated point. <br />(g) General Application: In the event au official haffic-control signal is <br />erected and maintained at a place other than an intersection, the provisions <br />of this section shall be applicable except as to those provisions which by <br />their nature can have no application. Auy stop required shall be made at a <br />sign or marking on the pavement indicating where the stop shall be made, <br />but in the absence of any such sign or marking the stop shall be made at <br />the signal. <br />(h) Exception. This section does not apply at railroad grade crossings. Con- <br />duct of drivers of vehicles approaching railroad grade crossings shall be <br />governed by Ohio R.C. 4511.61 and 451 L62. (ORC 4511.13) <br />SECTION 2. Section 313.04, Lane-Use Control Signals Over Individual Lanes, cur- <br />rently reading as follows: <br />313.04 LANE-USE CONTROL SIGNALS OVER INDIVIDUAL LANES. <br />(a) When lane-use control signals are placed over individual lanes of a street <br />or highway, such signals shall indicate and apply to drivers of vehicles as <br />follows: <br />(1) A Steady Downward Green Arrow: Vehicular traffic may travel in <br />any lane over which a green arrow signal is shown, <br />(2) A Steady Yellow "X": Vehicular traffic is warned to vacate in a <br />safe manner any lane over which such signal is shown to avoid oc- <br />cupyingthat lane when a steady red "X" signal is shown. <br />(3) A Flashing Yellow "X": Vehtcular traffic may use with proper <br />caution guy lane over which such signal is shown for only the pur- <br />pose of making a left turn. <br />(4) A Steady Red "X": Vehicular traffic shall not enter or travel in guy <br />lane over which such signal is shown. (ORC 4511.131) <br />(b) Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, whoever violates this sec- <br />tion is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. If, within one year of the offense, <br />the offender previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to one <br />predicate motor vehicle or traffic offense, whoever violates this section is <br />guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. If, within one year of the of- <br />fense, the offender previously has been convicted of two or more predicate <br />motor vehicle or ttaffic offenses, whoever violates this section is guilty of <br />a misdemeanor of the third degree.
