64-12 Repeal Certain Boards and Commissions

159.03 TERMS. Members shall be appointed for two -year renewable terms. Members may serve consecutive terms. 159.04 MISSION STATEMENT; BYLAWS AND GENERAL RULES OF OPERATION. The Lakewood Youth Commission shall be authorized to adopt its own mission statement, bylaws and general rules of operation, which shall be consistent with this chapter, all other ordinances and the Amended Charter of the City and laws of the State. The mission statement of the Lakewood Youth Commission shall be consistent with Section 159.01. 159.05 ASSISTANCE FROM DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SER- VICES. The Lakewood Youth Commission shall be authorized to call upon the Department of Human Services for assistance in carrying out the pur- poses set forth in this chapter. 159.06 PUBLIC RECORDS; REPORTING DUTIES. The Lakewood Youth Commission shall keep records of its meetings and activities and make available those records and as required by law. Such records shall be maintained by the Department of Human Ser- vices. shall be and hereby is repealed. Section 8. Section 109.01, Open Meetings, currently reading as follows: 109.01 OPEN MEETINGS. Unless otherwise provided in the Codified Ordinances, all meetings of Council, the Board of Building Standards and Building Appeals, the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Board of Control, Civil Service Commis- sion, the Planning Commission, the Senior Citizens Advisory Commit- tee, the Citizens Advisory Committee on CD Block Grants and other similar public bodies of the City or other citizens' committees as may be appointed Rom time to time, shall be open to the public, unless an executive session is expressly authorized under the applicable provi- sions of State law. Nothing herein contained shall mandate that any public body permit public participation in such meetings unless specifically required by the provisions of the Second Amended Charter or the Codified Ordinances. shall be and hereby is amended to read as follows: 109.01 OPEN MEETINGS.
