143.03 DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS REQUIRED TO BE <br />RECORDED. <br />The City Records Commission may order the destruction or other dis- <br />position of any City record, document, plat, court file, paper or instru- <br />ment in writing, specifically required by law to be kept or recorded, <br />provided that such City record, document, plat, court file, paper or in- <br />strument in writing, is first copied or reproduced in the maimer and ac- <br />cording to the procedure prescribed in Ohio R.C. 9.01. <br />143.04 DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS NOT REQUIRED TO BE <br />RECORDED. <br />The City Records Commission may order the destruction or other dis- <br />position of any City record, document, plat, court file, paper or instru- <br />ment in writing not specifically required by law to be kept without be- <br />ing copied or reproduced as prescribed in Ohio R.C. 9.01, and which <br />does not involve any title to or right in property or constitute a regular <br />record of any court, if such record, document, plat, court file, paper or <br />instrument is not less than one year old, does not pertain to any pending <br />case, claim or action and no longer has any value, historical or other- <br />wise. <br />143.05 RESOLUTION TO DESTROY RECORDS AND PROCE- <br />DURE. <br />When City records have been approved by disposal by resolution of the <br />City Records Commission, a list of such records shall be sent the Bu- <br />reau of Inspection and Supervision of Public Offices of the Auditor of <br />State. If the Bureau disapproves the actions of the Commission in <br />whole or in part, it shall so inform the Comrission within a period of <br />sixty days. Before records are otherwise disposed of, the Ohio Histori- <br />cal Society shall be informed and given the opportunity for a period of <br />sixty days to select for its custody or disposal such records as it may <br />deem to be of continual historical value. <br />143.06 AUTHORITY OF COMMISSION <br />The City Records Commission may revise, alter, approve or reject any <br />schedule and application or portion thereof and may designate transfer <br />and disposal dates and methods of disposal of records when such are <br />not specifically provided for by law. <br />No order of the Commission to destroy or otherwise dispose of any <br />records is valid unless it is agreed to by each such member of the <br />Commission eligible to act under this section, reduced to written form <br />and signed by each member. <br />143.07 COMPLIANCE REQUIRED. <br />No person having the custody of any records shall transfer, destroy or <br />otherwise dispose of them, or procure or permit the transfer, destruction <br />or other disposition of them without complying with this chapter. <br />143.08 PUBLIC RECORDS; FEES FOR DUPLICATION. <br />
