RESOLUTION NO. 4196 BY:Messrs. Wendling, Williamson, Gaydos, Huffman, Lawther, Usher, Ward. AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Board of County Commission- ers of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, authorizing the County to act as the local relief authority for and in behalf of the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, In order to effect a more efficient and more economical administration of the poor relief obligations .... imposed on the City of Lakewood, this Council deems it necessary and advisable to authorize the County of Cuyahoga to act as the local relief authority for and in behalf of the City of Lakewood, and, WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergencymeasure providing for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health or safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO= Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with the Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, which agreement shall read substantially as follows: AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this ~ day of . , 1963, by and between the City of Lakewood, by its M~y~r, pursuant to the authority of Resolution No. .. , adopted .... , 1963, hereinafter referred to as the "CITY" and the Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, pursuant to a resolution said Board adopted on , 1963, hereinafter referred to as the "COUNTY"i WITRESSETH: WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 329.01 Revised Code and Section 5113.02 Revised Code, the Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, has heretofore, by resolution dated December 1, 1947, established a County Welfare Department and has appointed a director thereof~ and, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the County of Cuyahoga and the City of Lakewood, to effect a more efficient and more econ- omical administration of the poor relief obligations imposed on said County and City by law by authorizing the County to act as the local relief authority for and in behalf of the City and placing such administration in the Department of Welfare of Cuyahoga County, pursuant to the authority of Sections 307.14 to 307.19, inclusive, of the Revised Code.
