RESOLUTION NO. 4196 BY:Messrs. Wendling, Williamson, <br /> Gaydos, Huffman, <br /> Lawther, Usher, <br /> Ward. <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Mayor to enter into a contract with the Board of County Commission- <br />ers of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, authorizing the County to act as the <br />local relief authority for and in behalf of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In order to effect a more efficient and more <br />economical administration of the poor relief obligations .... <br />imposed on the City of Lakewood, this Council deems it necessary <br />and advisable to authorize the County of Cuyahoga to act as the <br />local relief authority for and in behalf of the City of Lakewood, <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, This resolution constitutes an emergencymeasure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />property, health or safety and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO= <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into an agreement with the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, which agreement shall read <br />substantially as follows: <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this ~ day of . , 1963, <br />by and between the City of Lakewood, by its M~y~r, pursuant <br />to the authority of Resolution No. .. , adopted .... , <br />1963, hereinafter referred to as the "CITY" and the Board <br />of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, pursuant <br />to a resolution said Board adopted on , 1963, <br />hereinafter referred to as the "COUNTY"i <br /> <br />WITRESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 329.01 <br />Revised Code and Section 5113.02 Revised Code, the Board <br />of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, has <br />heretofore, by resolution dated December 1, 1947, established <br />a County Welfare Department and has appointed a director <br />thereof~ and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the County of Cuyahoga and the <br />City of Lakewood, to effect a more efficient and more econ- <br />omical administration of the poor relief obligations imposed <br />on said County and City by law by authorizing the County to <br />act as the local relief authority for and in behalf of the <br />City and placing such administration in the Department of <br />Welfare of Cuyahoga County, pursuant to the authority of <br />Sections 307.14 to 307.19, inclusive, of the Revised Code. <br /> <br /> <br />
