RESOLUTION NO. 4636 BY: Messrs. Gaydos, Graber, Euffman, Kelley, Ward, Wendling AN E~RGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works to advertise for bids for the sale of a portion of the real estate known generally as the Belle-St. Charles Parking Lot, and hereinafter speci- fically described, which property is now o~,ned by the City of Lakewood and is not needed for any municipal purpose. WHEREAS, a 500-car Municipal Parking Garage has now been completed in the Belle-St. Charles neighborhood, and will fulfill the parking needs of this area in the foreseeable future, and, WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that it provides for the preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, and, WHEREAS, a portion of the former parking lot will no longer be needed for any municipal purpose and should be developed commercially in order to further stimulate business in this neighborhood; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAREWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the sale of a certain parcel of real estate nowowned by the City of Lakewood and described as follows: Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga, State of Ohio, being part of Original Rockport Township Section No. 22 and further described as follows: Beginning in the Southerly line of Detroit Avenue (as widened 10 feet) at its intersection with the Westerly line of the Belle Avenue Allotment as recorded in Volume 41, Page 23 of Cuyahoga County Map Records; said beginning point is distant East along the South line of Detroit Avenue 170.70 feet from a point in the center line of St. Charles Avenue which is 43.18 feet South along said center line from the center line of Detroit Avenue. Thence South along the Westerly line of Sublot No. 1 in said Allotment so recorded as aforesaid, and along the extension Southerly of said Westerly line about 129.39 feet, but to its intersectiOn with the extension Westerly of the Northerly line of said Sublot No. 5 in said Belle Avenue Allotment. Thence Westerly om the extension of the Northerly line of said Sublot No. 5 about 85 feet to the Easterly line of land formerly owned by Sophia S. Schlather by deed recorded in Volume ~085, Page 389 of Cuyahoga County Deed Records. Thence Northerly along said Easterly line of land conveyed to Schlather as aforesaid, about 121.78 feet to the South line of Detroit Avenue. Thence Easterly along the South line of Detroit Avenue about 85.60 feet to ~the Place of Beginning. Section 2. That said advertisement shall state that because of the proximity of the new Municipal Parking Garage, the off-street parking requirements contained in Section 1115.015 of the Codified Ordinances shall be waived.
