Mr. Mar~lnez asked Mr. Moran if it was possible that a. ba~h- <br />room could be located on ~he first floor of ~he house. Mr. Moran ~hen <br />stated ~-hat it was possible; 'however, he did not go to ~he back of <br />house so he rea/ly-did not know. Mr. Har~/nez asked Mr. Moran if he was <br />able to ascertain what ~.he stench was emanating from ~he chimney. Mr. <br />Noran stated ~hat %he Fire Department stated ~hat it was probably cardboard <br />drenched in cat urine being burned. Mr. Har~lnez had no further questions <br />of Mr. Horan. <br /> <br /> Chairman Wright asked for Mr. Ken Bunt, sanitarian with the Bealth Depart- <br /> ment, to approach the Board. Secretary Owen then administered the oath to <br /> Mr. Hunt. Chairman Wright then asked Mr. Hunt to enlighten the Board to <br /> his knowledge of 1583 Elmwood Avenue. Mr. Hunt stated that on August 3 he <br /> accompanied Building Department Inspector Doug Mi]burn on an interior <br /> inspection of 1583 Elmwood Avenue. Me stated that %he house was "thorough- <br /> ly filthy with cat urine and cat feces". He stated that no plumbing fix- <br /> tures were working and that the fixtures were encrusted with cat urine and <br /> cat feces. Mr. Hunt <br />responded, no, but he was standing right next to Mr. M/lburn 'when Mr. <br />ftilburn tested %hem and he did see that they did not work. Mr. Hunt, <br />~7~oe[,woSra~.d that he could not remember which sinks worked and which sinks <br /> <br />Chairman Wright then called Michael Mearn, Animal Warden, up to the Board. <br />Secretary Owen administered the oath to Mr. Hearn. Mr. }{earn stated to the <br />Board that he was not on the inspection on August 3; however, he did state <br />that he returned to the house on August 24 to remove as many of the cats as <br />possible.
