RESOLUTION NO. 6744-92 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, <br />Director of Public Safety, to replace existing "No Right Turn On <br />Red, 8:00 a.m, - 6:30 p.m. MondaY - Friday" restriction on Clifton <br />Boulevard at southbound Webb Road with a "No Right Turn, 4:00 - <br />6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday" restriction for a trial period <br />of ninety days. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, considerable concerns <br />effects of the volume of traffic during <br />southbound Webb Road from Lake Avenue, and <br /> <br />exist regarding the <br />evening rush hour on <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the traffic volume and congestion experienced <br />by all residents in the area call for an alleviation of this <br />condition, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this temporary measure is with regard for the <br />concerns and safety of Lakewood school children and traveling <br />public, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes a temporary <br />measure for monitoring the public health, safety and welfare of <br />the citizens of Lakewood; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council hereby authorizes that <br />Section 313.10 (c) of the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances <br />of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />313.10 PROHIBITED TURNS ON RED SIGNALS. <br /> <br />(b) .... <br /> <br /> (c) Pursuant to the provisions of Section 313.03 (c) (5), a <br />right turn against 'a steady red signal is hereby prohibited <br />between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through <br />Friday, at the following intersections upon the posting and <br />installation of the proper signs giving notice thereof: <br /> <br />(1) Clifton Boulevard. <br /> <br />A. Webb Road <br /> <br />southbound only <br /> <br />be and same is hereby temporarily (for a period of ninety days) <br />deleted. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this Council hereby authorizes <br />that Section 313.10 (a)(1)(A) of the Traffic Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />313.10 PROHIBITED TURNS ON RED SIGNALS <br /> <br />(1) Clifton Boulevard. <br /> <br />A. Webb Road <br /> <br />all directions except <br /> southbound <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby temporarily amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />313.10 PROHIBITED TURNS ON RED SIGNALS <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
