PLACED ON "iST READING" AND <br />REFERRED TO FINANCE <br />Committee on 9/21/9~. <br /> Placed on "2nd Reading" on 11/2/9 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6757-92 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works to <br />establish water rates for the years beginning January 1, 1993; January <br />1, 1994; and January 1, 1995 and to provide for a Special Homestead <br />exemption. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, sufficient revenues are required to recover costs budgeted <br />for the operation of the Water Divison in 1993, 1994, and 1995, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, sufficient dollars are required to meet scheduled debt <br />service costs, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, adequate revenue is required to provide sufficient dollars to <br />reimburse the General Fund for advances and internal service costs, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to offset the aforementioned increases in the water <br />charges to the City as well as continuing general increases in cost of <br />operation, it is necessary for the City to increase the rates charged <br />to its consumers; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to establish water rates charged by the <br />Lakewood Division of Water effective January 1, 1993, as follows: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />The minimum charge for the first 1,000 cubic feet or <br />less of water used during each one or three month <br />billing period s~all not exceed TWENTY THREE DOLLARS AND <br />NO CENTS ($23.00). <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />All water used in excess of 1,000 cubic feet during <br />each one or three month billing period shall cost <br />not more than 230.0¢ (2.300) per one hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to establish water rates charged by the <br />Lakewood Division of Water effective January 1, 1994, as follows: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />The minimum charge for the first 1,000 cubic feet or <br />less of water used during each. one or three month <br />billing period shall not exceed TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS AND <br />NO CENTS ($25.00). <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />All water used in excess of 1,000 cubic feet during <br />each one or three month billing period shall cost not <br />more than 250.0¢ (2.500) per one hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br />Section 3. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to establish water rates charged by the <br />Lakewood Division of Water effective January 1, 1995, as follows: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />The minimum charge for the first 1,000 cubic feet or <br />less of water used during each one or three month <br />billing period shall not exceed TWENTY SEVEN DOLLARS AND <br />NO CENTS ($27.00). <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />All water used in excess of 1,000 cubic feet during <br />each one or three month billing period shall cost not <br />more than 270.0¢ (2.700) per one hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
