RE~OLt~ONNO. 7336-98 BY: Corrigan, Flannery, George <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smi:h <br /> <br /> A ~ON submitting the ordinance proposed by Initiative Petition to a vote <br />of the electors. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an ordinance was proposed by IniUative Petition filed with the Clerk <br />of Coum:il on August 2[, [998 and placed on the Coundl docket as Ordinance No. <br />98 and altached here~ as Exhibit A; and <br /> <br /> WME~EAS, Lakewood Qb/Council took final action on Ordinance No. ~l-g8 on <br />Septemi~r [5, [998, by amending the ordinance to suOmit to the voters the question <br />of repeal of Section 915.02 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> ~IletEREAS, the petitioners committee has certified to Council that the proposed <br />ordinance contained in the petition should be submitted to the voters pursuant to <br />Article X, Section 9 of the Amended Charter of the Qb/of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> ~IJEREAS, the Clerk of Council has certified to Council that the petiUon and <br />supplemental petition are sufficient to submit the proposed Ordinance to a vote of the <br />electors; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1'1' RESOLVED, BY THE C1TY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> ~ctlon 1. That the ordinance proposed by Initiative Petition shall be submitted <br />to a vote of the electors at the election to be held on November 3, [998. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The Qerk of Council is directed to certify a copy of this Resolution to <br />the 8oa~ of Bections of Cuyahoga County, and to take ail further action required by <br />law relal~a to ~ submission of said proposed Ordinance at said election. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that ail such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal actions, were in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliar~e with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
