WHEREAS, Cleveland, Lakewood, Euclid and Parma are each geographically contiguous to the boundaries of the Urban County Community Development Block Grant entitlement area; moreover, each municipality is within the geographic boundaries of Cuyahoga County; and WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood will be entitled to approximately thirteen (13%). percent of the Consortium's annual allocation of grant funds from the Federal Government by joining this Consortium; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to enter into an amended and restated contract with the cities of Cleveland Heights, Euclid, Parma and the County of Cuyahoga, Ohio, by which, each: party agrees to continue to participate in the Cuyahoga Housing Consortium for the purpose of making joint applicatiOn for and administering federal funds available under the HOME Program, said funds authorized by the Cranston-Gonzales National Affordable Housing Act of 1990. Section 2. That the Director of Law is hereby authorized and directed to review any and all documents related to said Consortium and to negotiate such changes to the documents, as the Director deems necessary to protect the public interest. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
