PLACED ON 2~D READING 3/19/01. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO 7542-01 <br /> <br />BY' <br /> <br />Corrigan, George, Roth, Seelie, <br />Skindei1, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizthg the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the <br />Lakewood Board of Education for the operation of the outdoor pools for a period of one <br />year and specifically approving said agreement <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this agreement made and concluded at Likewood, Ohio this <br />~ day of ~pA tit _, 2001, by and between the City of Lakewood, a <br />mmficipal corporation hereinalter referred to as "City" and the Board of Education of the <br />City of Lakewood hereinafter referrdd to as "Board" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City is the owner of the pools located in Lakewood Park m~d <br />Madison Park <br /> <br /> WHEP~,AS, lhe Board conducts the general recreation program thi'oughout the <br />City of Lakewood and is properly equ/pped to operate and maintain the pools for the <br />City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 755. I6 of the Ohio Revised Code gives authority to a <br /> municipal corporation to operate and maintain recreational facilities jointly with a school <br /> district <br /> WHEREAS, it is,deemed to be in the best interest of the Cily and Board to enter <br /> into an agreement for the joint operation of such outdoor pools <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO. <br /> <br /> Section 1 The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the <br /> Lakewood Board of Education for the operation of the outdoor pools for a period of one <br /> year, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A <br /> <br /> Section 2 Councii hereby specifically approves the agreement between the City <br />of Lakewood and l~e Lakewood Board of Education for the operation of the outdoor <br />pools, which is at~ached hereto as Exhibit A <br /> <br /> Section 3 It is found and determined that ail £onnal actions of this Council <br />conceraing and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting <br />of this Council, and that ali such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requiremants <br /> <br />Approved. ~' t (~ 1~[ <br /> <br />President of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
