I am returning this legislation, without my approval, pursuant to the <br />Second Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood Article III, Section 10. I am formally <br />objecting to this Ordinance due to formatting errors in each item. Ordinance No. 45-06 <br />lacks enacting language that is required in every piece of legislation. In addition, both <br />Ordinance No. 45-06 and Resolution No. 8106-06 appear to have been drafted to take <br />effect immediately however, neither piece of legislation contains the requisite language <br />that would permit this legislation to take effect immediately. <br /> <br />Please place this item back on Council's docket for further review and discussion <br />at the June 19, 2006 meeting as required by the Second Amended Charter.
