EXHIBIT A AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CLEVELAND DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO For Reimbursement Toward Purchase of Vehicle for Use by the City of Lakewood Police Department When Participating in The Northeast Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force THIS AGREEMENT Is made this day of , 2016 between the City of Cleveland ( "Cleveland "), a municipal corporation of the State of Ohio, through Its Director of Public Safety ( "Director "), pursuant to Cleveland Ordinance No. 708 -16 passed July 13, 2016, (attached as Exhibit A), and the City of Lakewood (Sub - Grantee'), a political subdivision of the State of Ohio, through Its authorized representative pursuant to the requisite authority. A. Whereas, Cleveland is the recipient of grant funding from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services (the "Grantor's to conduct the 2015 Ohio Drug Law Enforcement program ( "the Grant funding'. B. Whereas, the City of Lakewood Police Department and the Cleveland Division of Police, among other partner - agencies, are members of the Northeast Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force (NOLETF') and assist each other in Ohio drug law enforcement. C. Whereas, Cleveland desires to allocate some of the Grant Funding to the as reimbursement In a certain amount toward the purchase of an undercover vehicle to be used by the City of Lakewood Police Department for NOLETF activities ("the Vehicle'), and the City of Lakewood Police Department desires to accept such reimbursement for this purpose. D. Whereas, the Grantor has authorized the allocation of Grant funding for purchase of this vehicle as is set forth in Exhibit B attached hereto and Incorporated herein. In consideration of the foregoing, the payments, and the mutual promises contained in this Agreement, Cleveland and the City of Lakewood ("Sub- Grantee'l agree as follows; Incorporation of Recitals. The Recitals are Incorporated Into this Agreement as if fully rewritten herein. 2. Payment bye for Purchase by Sub- G[aptee of Vehicle Sub- Grantee shall purchase a Vehicle to be used for three (3) years from date of purchase solely by the Sub - Grantee's Department of Police for NOLETF purposes. After Sub - Grantee purchases the Vehicle, It can then be reimbursed for the purchase price of the Vehicle by Cleveland up to an amount not to exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00).
