Section 1. That this Council and Administration supports the Vision Zero initiative, a strategy to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all, and commits to working with the Administration and community stakeholders to create a Vision Zero plan for the City, inclusive of the City's existing Community Vision, Bicycle Master Plan, and related policies and programs. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is directed to transmit copies of this Resolution to Lakewood's representatives in the County Council, the Ohio Legislature, in Congress, and to the National League of Cities and the Bike Lakewood Chapter of Bike Cleveland. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements.
