Motion adopted. Nominations for Council President closed. Discussion: Councilmember George explained her reason for objecting, stating that she was elected as part of a change and that it would be a disservice for her to support the leadership of the past. Motion by Councilmember Bullock, seconded to consider Councilmember Sam O'Leary for election to the role of Council President. Discussion: Councilmember Rader expressed a lack of trust in the current council leadership and stated that he could not support the leadership of the past going forward in the future. Yeas: Anderson, Bullock, Litten, O'Leary, O'Malley Nays: George, Rader Motion adopted. Councilmember Sam O'Leary elected Council President. Motion by Councilmember Litten, seconded, to recommend David Anderson as Council Vice President. Councilmember Anderson indicated acceptance of the nomination.
