(READ AND REFERRED TO FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />6/4/18) <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to defer Ordinance 43 -17A <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. <br />""NEW BUSINESS"" <br />23. Communication from Council President O'Leary regarding August Recess <br />Council Colleagues, <br />With the summer solstice upon us and the City's Summer Solstice celebration on Thursday <br />evening, as well as heat indexes topping 100 degrees, many of our thoughts might be filled with <br />ice cream cones, beaches, and tall lemonades on front porches. Likewise, many of our inboxes <br />might be filled with emails detailing newly discovered neighborhood concerns, nuisances, <br />projects and parties. Therefore this communication serves as notice of my intention that Council <br />stand in recess during the month of August. As a result our regular meetings of Council will not <br />be held during August and I do not intend to call any meetings of Committee of the Whole or <br />Special Meetings of Council. <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file the communication. <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. <br />24. Communication from Councilmember Litten regarding Project SOAR, Opiate Addiction <br />Recovery Update <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file and refer to Health & <br />Human Services <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. <br />25. Communication from Planning Director Sylvester Regarding Application to the State of Ohio <br />through ODNR for the Nature Works Grant Program <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file the communication. <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. <br />26. RESOLUTION NO. 9009 -18 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Director of <br />Planning and Development to file an application with the Ohio Department of Natural <br />
