Communication from Council President O'Leary regarding August Recess <br />Council Colleagues, <br />With the summer solstice upon us and the City's Summer Solstice celebration on Thursday <br />evening, as well as heat indexes topping 100 degrees, many of our thoughts might be filled with <br />ice cream cones, beaches, and tall lemonades on front porches. Likewise, many of our inboxes <br />might be filled with emails detailing newly discovered neighborhood concerns, nuisances, <br />projects and parties. Therefore this communication serves as notice of my intention that Council <br />stand in recess during the month of August. As a result our regular meetings of Council will not <br />be held during August and I do not intend to call any meetings of Committee of the Whole or <br />Special Meetings of Council. <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file the communication. <br />Motion adopted.
