Motion adopted. All members voting yea. Rules suspended. <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to adopt Ordinance 30 -18. <br />Yeas: Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, O'Malley, Rader <br />Nays: None <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. Ordinance 30 -18 adopted. <br />6. Rules & Ordinances Committee Report Regarding Meeting Held 6/4/18; Ms. George, Chair <br />The Rules & Ordinances Committee met on June 4th to discuss nine ordinances following the <br />passage of the Third Amended Charter. All of them are on the docket this evening. There was <br />29 -18 which established various finance provisions. 38 -17 established departments and <br />directors. 39 -18 revising the Code provisions referencing the Charter; basically removing the <br />mention of the Seconded Amended Charter. 58 -17 basically established and enhanced the ethics <br />provision in the Charter. 548 established street creation and vacation provisions. There was a <br />substitution on March 14th with that ordinance. 6 -18 revising the Planning Commission voting <br />provision due to the passage of the Charter. 20 -18 established the special assessment provision. <br />24 -18 established the franchise provision and 26 -18 established the newly elected official <br />training verifier, basically that the Clerk be able to verify that the newly electeds participated in <br />the training stemming from the passage of the Charter. In summary, these are the nine <br />ordinances and they have been recommended for adoption. <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file the oral report. <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. <br />7. Communication from City Planner Katelyn Milius Regarding Planning Commission <br />Recommendation for Adoption of Ordinance 6 -18 amending Section 1134.03(k) <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file the communication. <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. <br />8. ORDINANCE NO. 29 -18 — AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to <br />take effect at the earliest period allowed by law, enacting various sections of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood in order to codify certain provisions with respect to <br />financial processes in the city. (READ AND REFERRED TO RULES & ORDINANCES <br />COMMITTEE 5/21/18, SECOND READING 6/4/18) <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to adopt Ordinance 29 -18. <br />
